I Guess My Question To Betty Olson is: Why Do You Think This "Joke" Is Funny?

Olson is an elected official, representing SD District 28 in Butte County.  Apparently she writes a local column for one of the Rapid City Journal's affiliate publications, The Butte County Post, which is Belle Fourche-centric.  In a column dated September 9, 2014, she wrote:
"This morning ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood warned the United States that if the United States continued meddling in Iraq, Libya, and other potential hot spots in the Middle East, they intend to cut off America's supply of 7-11 and Motel 6 managers.
If this action does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will be next, followed by Dell, AT&T and AOL customer service reps.
Finally, if all else fails, they have threatened not to send us any more presidents either."                          Obviously Representative Olson thinks there's a joke in there.  Actually, make that two jokes, as she throws in another self-perceived ha-ha related to the Obama birther nonsense.  I don't know if the column got into the RCJ itself, but it seems like the editorial staff in Rapid City should consider whether it wants stuff like this showing up under one of its mastheads.  I hope Representative Olson or anybody else who thinks this "joke" is funny will take the time to explain the humor of it to me.  Meantime, South Dakotans can only hope that the national media don't get hold of this story and use it to make our state, once again, look like a collection of rubes and rednecks.  I also hope that Governor Daugaard, as he did when Senator Phil Jensen went on his tear about businesses being allowed to discriminate, will quickly repudiate Olson's racist joke and note that her thinking is not consistent with that of any South Dakotans he knows.
Meantime, my comment section is open to explaining where the funny part of this "joke" is.  I don't get it, myself.

Update (posted 10/6 @ 5:52 p.m.):  Rapid City Journal Editor Bart Pfankuch just reported to TPM that he would never run the above piece in the RCJ itself.  Here's the story from TPM.

Update #2 (posted 10/6 @ 8:40 p.m.):  Thank youuuu, Betty Olson.  Now Daily Kos has gotten on the story.  It's about to spread around the country like wildfire.  Proud of yourself?
